Salutations!
Hello, and welcome to Inane in the Membrane (see? It’s right up there above this paragraph!). My name is Kenneth Michael, and I will be using this space as a personal outlet for musings and ponderings, with the occasional griping rant thrown in for good measure. Why am I writing this blog? That’s a good question, and as you are reading the first incarnation of my blog, the simple answer at this time is that I am writing for writing’s sake. What makes my writing worth reading? Hopefully we’ll find out together, and you’ll help me along the way to refine my focus.
Who am I? (Petey Pablo motherf**ka!)
If I still have your attention, I’ll go ahead and tell a quick bit about myself. I’m presently living on the far east side of Indianapolis, Indiana. This is not to be confused with the Far East side of Indianapolis, and I’m not sure if there is anything that may be considered a Chinatown district in the city. Moving on… I graduated in May 2009 with a Bachelors degree in physics and am presently putting it to no use whatsoever in terms of career choice. Like many (most) entering the workforce right now, I consider myself fortunate in obtaining underemployment. It is better than the alternative of outright unemployment, so I do have that going for me. While drawing a paycheck and paying taxes, I am looking for full time, self-supporting employment in a variety of fields, most notably science and engineering. This will be of no surprise to the functionally intelligent among you.
What is IT? (It’s it!)
The burning question (for me): Just what will this blog be about? I don’t know. I’m still sorting out what I’m most passionate about, and what topics provoke thought worth sharing with the public at large. As this is a personal blog, it will be something of a potpourri of whatever happens to be on my mind. Art, music, philosophy, science, current events, history, religion… I will try to stay away from third rails such as abortion (I’m pro-choice.) or gay marriage (let ‘em.) because I really have nothing to say on these topics that hasn’t been said already, and most people have already made up their minds and will not be swayed by the words of a relatively unknown liberal twenty-something.
I have a burning question for Kenneth Michael…
If you’re experiencing any burning sensations, I highly recommend you see a qualified physician. Immediately. In fact, stay away from me until the test results come back and you’re sure you’re clean or have started proper treatment.
